I know that it doesn’t seem like it but the end of the year is fast approaching.  A new year also brings us a new East Coast Winter Jam Tour and this year’s tour promises to be one of the best ever.  Since its formation by NewSong in 1995, the Winter Jam tour has spread the Gospel to thousands of young people through Christian music.  ”At the heart of Winter Jam is ministry and it’s commitment to no tickets and only $10 at the door. This remains a unique characteristic to Winter Jam and underscores the importance of making the event affordable for families, individuals and groups of all sizes.”

The Lineup

Joining NewSong on this year’s swing through the East will be Toby Mac, RED, Matthew West, Jamie Grace, Sidewalk Prophets, and Royal Tailor.  In addition to these great artists the message will once again be delivered by national speaker Nick Hall.  Also this year the Youth Music Pre-Jam Party will include performances by Jason Castro, OBB, and Capital Kings.  These great artist will all combine to bring you a night of music and Gospel that you won’t soon forget. Help After Edmund Kickstart Their Album

Nudge Nudge, The Clock Is Ticking!

The clock is ticking and time is running out on the After Edmund efforts to raise money to help record a new album.  After an exciting week and great support from their fans and friends, After Edmund finds themselves just $5700 shy of reaching their goal with 5 days to go.  This may seem like a long way to go, but with a lot of prayer and little financial support from the community, we can make this dream a reality.

I am asking that everyone who reads this blog over the next 5 days to please take a moment and pray for the success of this ministry!  There are plenty of good reasons to donate your money, including some great incentives, however, what we really need to do is to earnestly pray for this project.  If it is in God’s will for this project to be fulfilled then it will be.  Amazing things happen when His children get together and pray.  The power of prayer is a powerful weapon, but only if we choose to use it. It’s that time of year again, Winter Jam  2012 kicks off in just two days.  All around the eastern part of the country churches, youth groups, and Christian music lovers are making plans to attend one of the biggest concert events of the year.  Since Winter Jam was established in 2006 by NewSong, it has grown to unbelievable levels.  The 2011 concert was the largest attended concert tour in the first quarter.  If you notice I didn’t say, the largest Christian concert tour.  The 2011 Winter Jam Tour saw more people in attendance than Bon Jovi, U2, Lady Gaga, and even Justin Bieber.  Yes even “The Bieb” can’t compete with The Messiah.  Continue Reading…

2012 Winter Jam Tour Announced

WinterJam 2012

Christian music’s largest annual tour is at it again.  What has become an event anticipated by thousands, Winter Jam is once again bringing the Gospel of Jesus Christ through music around the country.  The 2012 Winter Jam schedule and lineup has been announced.  This years eastern tour will begin January 6th in Charleston WV and conclude on April 1st in Grand Rapids MI.  In between the tour will make 47 stops across the eastern portions of the United States.

Hosting the concert this year will be Newsong,  They will be joined by many different artist, entertainers and speakers including Skillet, Sanctus Real, and Group 1 Crew.   Continue Reading…
