Squirrel CameraThis week’s Video of the Week is a bit different from most of the ones that you will find here each Friday. But since we do deal with technology and I have a small connection to the company, I thought I would share it anyway.

Today’s video celebrates the innovation that has been created by the engineers and designers at Honda over the past 65 years. And as you will see the video is just as innovative as their products.

I hope you have a great weekend!

As a part of their Electric Vehicle Demonstration Program, Honda has recently delivered a 2013 Honda Fit EV (Electric Vehicle) to Google.  During the demonstration period Google, along with Stanford and the City of Torrence CA, will put the new electric vehicle through its paces, providing Honda with feedback from real world situations.

“The goal of the Honda Electric Vehicle Demonstration Program is to better understand the challenges and opportunities associated with the advancement in battery-electric technology,” said Steve Center, vice president of the Environmental Business Development Office at American Honda. “Honda has a long history with electric vehicles beginning with the introduction of our first battery-electric car, the EV Plus, nearly 15 years ago. We have a bonus video this week.  Since the Super Bowl is coming up this weekend, I figured we would start things off early with a preview of a Super Bowl commercial.  In this extended video, Honda reinvents Matthew Broderick’s role as Ferris Beuller in their latest ad for the new 2012 CR-V.  The 60 second cut of this video will be seen Sunday night at the start of the fourth quarter of the football game.

No this is not an episode of the Twilight Zone, but it is the latest creation from Honda.  This week Honda unveiled the newest generation of its robot Asimo.  Asimo now shows off its skills by serving drinks and running (not at the same time).  For more details on this humanoid check out the press release from Honda.
